Motel security call prompts drug arrest

A North Bend man was arrested Saturday evening on a charge of possession of cocaine.
According to the Coos Bay Police dispatch, at about 6 p.m. police responded to a call at Timber Inn, 1001 North Bayshore Drive, that two men had been kicked off the property after motel security caught them “with a bag of white stuff” in a bathroom. Police arrested a possible suspect down the street from the motel, a dispatcher said. The man did not have identification on him and would not provide his identity to officers, police said, but a run of his fingerprints identified him as Antonio Islas-Moreno, 35, of North Bend.
Islas-Moreno was taken to Coos County jail on a charge of possession of cocaine. He remained there this morning, on a $25,000 bail.
