July Jubilee events are ongoing in North Bend

The 2006 July Jubilee, North Bend's birthday celebration, will be held through Sunday.
Events for today include from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., an all-car show 'n' shine at North Bend Lanes, 1225 Virginia Ave.; from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., a vendor fair and farmers' market in the east entrance and parking lot of the Pony Village Mall; from noon to 1 p.m., the July Jubilee parade on Broadway Avenue; from noon to 6 p.m., a barbecue, beer garden, Jump 4 Fun, bull riding and bowling at North Bend Lanes/Back Alley; from 2 to 3 p.m., the French boxcar dedication at Simpson Park; from 6 to 8 p.m., the July Jubilee annual car cruise on Broadway Avenue; from 9 to 9 p.m., the “After Cruise” free ice cream social at the North Bend Community Center, 2222 Broadway Ave.; from 8 to 11 p.m., Little Ole Opry's “New Country Greats” at Little Theatre on the Bay, 2100 Sherman Ave.; and from 9 p.m. to midnight, Back Alley's bash with the Flashbacks at North Bend Lanes.
Sundays events will include, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a vendor fair at the Pony Village Mall east entrance and parking lot; from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., a disc golf tournament at Winsor Disc Park; from 11 am. to 2 p.m., the Pacific Cove K9 Carnival at the Pony Village Mall; and from 1 to 4 p.m., North Bend's birthday party with cake cutting at 2 p.m. at Ferry Road Park. The birthday party also will include a softball challenge between North Bend and Coos Bay, hot dogs, hamburgers and nachos; snacks for sale; free root beer floats; a Jump 4 Fun; and the Old Town dedication.
