Wednesday, June 21, 2006 |
The South Coast Dental Services has issued a challenge to all professional and community service organizations in Coos County to meet or beat its pledge of $10,000 for the Amelia Worth Bone Marrow Fund, before July 31.
Amelia Worth, a 22-year-old Marshfield High School graduate, may die if she does not have a bone marrow transplant to help fight off Leukemia. The Worth family must raise $200,000 before August in order to pay for Amelia's transplant.
For more information, those interested can contact Arch Wilkie, a family friend and fund raising coordinator, at 269-0277.
