A Bay Area welcome
Monday, February 27, 2006 | No comments posted.
Most of the people attending the Bay Area Welcome Club Thursday night, Feb. 23, 2006, raised their hands when asked how many in the audience have been residents in the area three years or less. More than 125 people attended the first gathering of the Welcome Club at the Mill Casino Hotel where new people have the chance to meet new people and find out more about the area. It is hoped that the event put on by The World and The Mill Casino Hotel four times a year. The program after the dinner was a presentation from Steve Greif, right, President of the Coo Historical and Maritime Society showing a slide presentation about the history of Coos and Curry counties called “It Happened Here First.”
