North Bend's boys bowling team continued a string of strong finishes by winning a tournament at Timber Lanes in Springfield on Sunday.

The Bulldogs led by more than 200 pins through the semfinal qualifying rounds, with 1,674 pins for eight games. Springfield was a distant second with 1,466, followed by Thurston with 1,448, Marshfield with 1,419 and North Bend's No. 2 varsity team with 1,416.

In the semifinals, North Bend beat Marshfield 427-363 and Springfield beat Thurston 327-292.

In the finals, the Bulldogs beat the Millers 408-310. Thurston beat North Bend 430-370 for third place.

North Bend's win comes on the heels of a victory in the Bulldogs' home tournament last weekend and an event in Medford as part of the Professional Bowling Association's Earl Anthony Classic.

North Bend Lanes hosts the two-day district tournament Feb. 11-12.
