This month's meeting of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism Committee is scheduled from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Thursday at the Red Lion Hotel, 1313 N. Bayshore Drive, in Coos Bay.

Elaine Raper, U.S. Bureau of Land Management Umpqua District field manager; and Megan Slothower, BLM public affairs specialist, will discuss North Spit recreational access. Martin Callery, director of communications and freight mobility for the Oregon International Port of Coos Bay, also will be present.
