More wet weather drenches the area

A truck traveling along state Highway 42 near Coquille late Tuesday morning kicks up water while a passenger car keeps its windshield wipers going to clear the rain and water. Heavy rains and windy conditions had spray coming up from not only trucks, but other cars traveling on area roads. The National Weather Service predicts more wet and breezy conditions today and the chance of rain throughout the rest of the week with continued wet driving conditions. A high surf advisory is in effect until 4 a.m. Thursday and a flood warning for the Coquille River at Myrtle Point and Coquille also remains in effect through Thursday morning. Ocean swells are predicted to be at about 20 feet, according to the Weather Service.
