Local historic places to hold open houses

Several locations, listed on the National Register of Historic Properties, are scheduled for open houses in December.
In Coos Bay, open houses will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Sherwood House at 955 S. Fifth St.; and from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the Leo J. Carey House at 476 Newmark Ave.
In Coquille, open houses will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Tower-Flanagen House at 257 E. Main St.; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the Joseph Quant House at 572 E. First St.
