Board members of the Coos County Cultural Coalition will be distributing grant applications at the Coos Art Museum during Artwalk from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10.

The Coos County Cultural Coalition has received $8,300 from the Oregon Cultural Trust for distribution within Coos County for the fiscal year 2006. Individuals and organizations who meet the criteria may apply. Deadline for submission of the 2006 Coos County Cultural Coalition Grant application is Feb. 28, 2006.
Coos County Cultural Coalition was formed in 2002 and spent two years developing a county-wide cultural plan that recognizes the arts, heritage and humanities as assets worthy of preserving, protecting and developing as cultural identities for Coos County. Through periodic distribution of grant monies to qualified applicants with funds from the Oregon Cultural Trust, the Coos County Cultural Coalition underwrites projects that help to preserve, protect and develop the arts, heritage and humanities in Coos County.
For more information on the Coos County Cultural Coalition, the 2006 Grant application and eligibility, those interested can visit the Web site at www.ccculturalcoalition.org, or come to the Coos Art Museum during Artwalk and meet with a Coos County Cultural Coalition board member.
