Aiding Katrina's survivors

A citizen makes a donation to the Coos Bay Chapter 799 Vietnam Veterans of America at Wal-Mart in Coos Bay on Thursday afternoon.
All the money raised will go directly to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund. The veterans group also will be at Wal-Mart next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., collecting donations for hurricane survivors. As of Thursday, the group had raised more than $2,000 to help with the disaster relief.
