Spay/neuter clinic Sept. 11 in Coquille
Saturday, August 27, 2005 10:00 AM PDT
FAWN will be sponsoring a spay/neuter clinic from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, in the Coquille area.
Only homeless or feral cats qualify for the clinic, and the cats must have caregivers who feed them regularly and will care for them after they have been altered and returned. Reservations are necessary and caregivers will be screened to be sure the cats qualify. All cats must be brought to the clinic in a carrier or humane trap.
The clinic will not accept cats in cardboard boxes or more than one cat in a carrier. Cats must be checked in by 8 a.m. and picked up by 5 p.m., and all caregivers must sign an anesthesia release form. Only sick cats will be tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. Cats that test positive will be euthanized.
The location of the clinic will be disclosed when reservations are confirmed. Donations of $25 per cat are appreciated, but any donation is welcome.
