Logging museum seeks board applicants

The Coos County Logging Museum in Myrtle Point is seeking applicants to fill an open position on the board of directors.
Suggested qualifications include, but are not limited to, a connection and/or interest in the logging industry; a willingness to develop and promote the museum; a basic familiarity with logging equipment, vocabulary and practices; and a commitment to community improvement.
The board meets at 12:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month in Myrtle Point. It also holds various related activities throughout the year.
Those with a desire to participate in the nonprofit organization's preservation of history are encouraged to submit a letter of qualifications and interest to board President Jean Olson, 179 N. Folson St., Coquille, OR 97423.
