The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is seeking donations for an indoor yard sale fund-raiser scheduled Aug. 6.

Items can include furniture, knick knacks, jewelry, collectibles, linens and small household appliances in working order.

To arrange for a donation pickup, those interested can call Lyn Silverman, fund-raising chairwoman, at 347-1585.

People also are needed to make cookies, cakes and other goodies for the bake sale and to help the sales staff.

The yard and bake sale is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Coquille Community Building in downtown Coquille.

A 50-50 raffle also is planned. RSVP serves Bandon, the Coquille Valley, the Bay Area, Powers and Lakeside. Program volunteers provide everything from patient discharge services at Bay Area Hospital to help with the SMART program and income tax aid.

Wilderness areas have no place in a country like the USA. Wilderness areas are a communist concept that are more appropriate for communist countries.
