Coquille Karate-Tae Kwon Do had 25 students compete in Winston on May 14, bringing home 30 medals.

The students ranged in age from 6 to 60 and came from Coquille, Myrtle Point and Bandon. They competed in forms, weapons and sparring. Several of the students were participating in their first tournament.

Coquille TKD will be holding demonstrations and free introductory classes during the Coquille Gay '90s celebration on June 4.

Classes regularly are taught in the school in Coquille and at the BandonCommunity Center.
