Red Cross sponsoring blood drives

Pacific Northwest Regional Blood Services, a division of the American Red Cross, will organize blood donation drives on the South Coast during the month of April.
Those wishing to donate blood should be at least 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good health.
The following are Red Cross blood drives scheduled for April:
€ from 2 to 7 p.m. on April 4 at Myrtle Crest School, 903 Myrtle Crest Lane, Myrtle Point;
€ 1 to 6 p.m. April 5 at the Bandon Community Center (The Barn), 1100 W. 11th St., Bandon;
€ 1 to 6 p.m. April 6 at Pony Village Mall, 1611 Virginia Ave., North Bend;
€ 1 to 6 p.m. April 7 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 357 S. Sixth St., Coos Bay;
€ noon to 5 p.m. April 14 at North Douglas High School, 305 S. Main St., Drain;
€ noon to 5 p.m. April 18 at the Masonic Temple, 626 Winchester Ave., Reedsport;
€ 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. April 19 at the Coquille Community Building, 115 N. Birch, Coquille;
€ 1 to 6 p.m. April 20 at Pony Village Mall; and
€ from 1 to 6 p.m. on April 21 at St. Monica Catholic Church.
Those interested in setting an appointment at Red Cross drives in Coos County and Reedsport can call (800) GIVE-LIFE. Those making appointments at the Drain event can call (541) 836-7729.
