Community egg hunts planned in Coos Bay, Reedsport

The fourth-annual Bay Area Optimist of Coos County Easter egg hunt will be held on Saturday, March 19, at 10th Street Park on the corner of 10th and Johnson streets in Coos Bay. The egg hunt for children 6 years old and younger begins at 10 a.m.; 7- to 12-year-olds will start their search for eggs at noon.
Prizes and refreshments will be provided.
Reedsport
The annual Reedsport area community Easter egg hunt will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, in Jim Barrone Park next at Highland School on Longwood Drive. There will be five age categories for children 10 years old and younger, and lots of eggs for all to take home. The Easter Bunny will be available for photo opportunities with the children.
Eggs will be supplied by the Gardiner/Reedsport Lions Club and the Winchester Bay Merchants Association. Alice Weathers and her crew at Pizza Rays in Winchester Bay will donate the time and materials to cook and dye the eggs.
