It's tax time: AARP volunteers can help sort out the details
Monday, February 7, 2005 11:56 AM PST

AARP Tax Aide site locations and schedules for the South Coast have been finalized, according to Diane Kimes, district coordinator for the all-volunteer AARP Tax Aides.

"This program offers free tax preparation to all taxpayers with low and middle incomes, with special attention to seniors 60 and older," Kimes said, "and is available in most every city from Brookings to Florence from Feb. 1 through April 15."

The AARP Tax Aide program is administered by the AARP Foundation in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service.

AARP Tax Aides offer free electronic filing (e-filing) at every site. E-filing of federal and state returns ensures more accurate tax returns and faster processing of federal and state tax refunds.
