The Bay Area Kiwanis and Star of Hope's Bay Area Aktion Club plan to revitalize Ed Lund Park, located on Wall Street, one block south of Newmark Avenue in Empire.

Members of the community are invited to join a work party scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

Projected needs include benches, picnic tables, sand (for horseshoe pits and a sandbox), water and electrical hook-ups, a concrete platform, playground equipment and handicapped-accessible portable toilets.

Anyone interested in joining the work parties can just show up - preferably with gardening tools and/or a wheel barrow - at the park during the scheduled times.
