The second-annual "Feed Our Neighbors Empty Bowls" event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Pony Village Mall in North Bend.

Local artists and potters have created 1,000 bowls that will be sold for $10 each. Proceeds from the sales will be shared among Bay Area hunger-relief programs.

Sponsoring the project is Feed Our Neighbors, an all-volunteer organization of local artists and potters who have banded together to use their creative talents in this hunger-relief project. Co-sponsoring the event is South Coast Food Share, the regional food bank for Coos and Curry counties.

Uh...ok!?
I personally think this is a great idea. As a fan of target shooting I sometimes try and find somewhere in the woods somewhere to shoot and it's hard to find a place where it will be safe. This will help eliminate shot up signs and busted glass in the woods and on the back trails. Let's hurry and make this happen!
