Contract flaggers and Oregon Department of Transportation personnel have been out guiding traffic across the Bullards Bridge across the Coquille River near Bandon 24 hours a day. The bridge was damaged after a logging company moving large equipment struck some windbeams, causing them to pull up and snap a vertical upright. Bryan Mast, ODOT bridge crew manager for the Roseburg/Coos Bay area said Thursday "a replacement vertical upright will have to manufactured from original blueprints in order to match the historical design of the bridge." The bridge was built in the early 1950s. It is hoped that the replacement upright can be made within the state. While traffic has been restricted at times to one lane, ODOT expects to re-open both lanes today. Once the upright is delivered, traffic again will be restricted to one lane during the final repair.

This case begs the question: Why don't the proponents for the facts request or conduct their own investigation? One subject to disclosure. Finances, of all matters to a school district are easily tracked.
