Schools set dates for registration

School time for students on the South Coast is fast approaching. Schools that will register students this week include:
€ Coquille: Grades K-12 in the Coquille School District can register from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Grades K-3 register at Lincoln School; 4-5 at Coquille Valley Intermediate School; 6-8 at Coquille Valley Middle School; and 9-12 register at Coquille High School. Registration for both Coquille Valley Intermediate School and Coquille Valley Middle School will be in the same building at 1115 N. Baxter St.
Children enrolling in kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2003. Proof of birth, updated immunizations and social security numbers will be required for enrollment.
€ Reedsport: There are no set dates for elementary school students to register in Reedsport. Beginning now, parents may drop by the Highland Elementary office any time between 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Entering kindergartners need to bring a birth certificate and immunization records. School starts on Sept. 2.
