EUGENE (AP) - Two girls missing since Saturday afternoon were found Sunday near Salt Creek Falls in the Willamette Pass area, Lane County authorities said.
Searchers in a helicopter spotted 8-year-old Tessa Maghiar of Orangeville, Calif., and 11-year-old Felicia Pozuelos of Prineville near the banks of the falls at 10:43 a.m.
The girls had walked away from a campground in the area around 3 p.m. Saturday.
Both girls had fallen in the creek several times and were missing their shoes, but were otherwise unharmed, the sheriff's office said. After being checked by medics, they were returned to their parents.
