Potential marrow donors get another chance for tests
Tuesday, May 6, 2003 1:48 PM PDT

For those who were turned away at the April 5 blood drive to find a bone marrow donor for Bridget Morris, a 12-year-old Sunset Middle School student who has leukemia, can make arrangements to have their blood drawn at Bay Clinic, 1750 Thompson Road, Coos Bay.

The clinic will take walk-ins between noon and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday; and 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. An $85 fee must be paid at the time the sample is taken. The money goes to the American Red Cross to cover its costs. The Bay Clinic is donating its services and Fed Ex is shipping the samples free of charge. For information, donors can ask for Joni or Kim.
