College offers 'planning for college' classes

Southwestern Oregon Community College's Educational Talent Search is winding up its free "planning for college" workshops that the college is offering to South Coast residents.
Workshops will cover several topics including financial possibilities for families, how much college really costs, how to financially plan for higher education, the financial aid and scholarship application process and what to take in high school to be prepared for college.
Workshops will be held:
€ from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at the Sunset Middle School's gym.
€ from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at the W.F. Jewett Middle School cafeteria.
Workshops are open to the public and parents who may have children in grades K-12. Refreshments will be served.
