A group of South Coast residents will hold a daily peace vigil on the Coos Bay Boardwalk until the war with Iraq concludes.

Peace supporters will be on site from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day and will be reading the Greek play "Lysistrata" during the day and evening. On Saturday, the play will be read at noon.

Written by Aristophanes, "Lysistrata" is about Athenian women who are fed up with the Peloponnesian War. The women barricade themselves in the Acropolis and vow to withhold sex until their husbands vote for peace with Sparta.
