Red Cross to sponsor blood drives

The Pacific Northwest Regional Blood Services of the American Red Cross is encouraging South Coast residents to give the gift of blood.
The Red Cross will sponsor a final blood drive this month in Coos Bay, from 1 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, at St. Monica Catholic Church, 357 S. Sixth St.
Blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. For more information or to make an appointment, those interested can call Madonna Sipal toll-free at (800) 792-5682.
