Jonna Rose Wissert is offering weekly Hip Hop and Ballet classes for girls and boys at the Plainfield Community Center for ages k-12. Classes are all on Mondays between 3:30 and 8pm. The highly acclaimed new film, Food, Inc, will be shown for free at the Black Market Gourmet on Monday November 23 at 6pm. Food, Inc. is an investigative documentary which exposes the influences of corporate policy on the quality our nation's food supply. Based in part on the work of Michael Pollan, author of 'The Omnivors Dilemma' and 'In Defense of Food.'

Make a Difference in Your Community!!!

Ever wondered, "What can I do as one person to effect the violence in my community", become educated!

The Women's Safety & Resource Center & the Southwestern Oregon Community College is offering a FREE 10 week Community Educational Series.

Every Thursday evening, 6pm, beginning October 4th, 2009. Location is the Women's Safety & Resource Center's Crumley Hall, 1681 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay. 888-1048

This series covers a variety of topics and supportive resources associated with Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, presented by many different qualified community instructors.

Join Hudson Ridge at Sozo's Coffee House 1955 Union Ave. North Bend on Friday, July 31 from 7:00-9:00 pm.

Hudson Ridge has a sound all it's own. Love of harmony and the desire and ability to 'Ridgetize' their own blend of Americana, Bluegrass, and traditional Country music, gives this band a truly unique sound.

Members have been 'playing together in different bands' for many years and have now come together to create what promises to be a quality musical experience for themselves and anyone who gives a listen. Join us for wholesome family entertainment and some darned good pickin'.

Members are Mary Luther-lead vocal and bass, Fred Grove-rhythm guitar, Bob Shaffar- dobro, fiddle, vocal, Jerene Shaffar-mando, bass, vocal, Shelley Freeman- bass, vocal, Kevin Freeman - lead guitar, vocal.

Hudson Ridge plays at Sozo's on the last Friday of every month from 7-9pm.
